To promote craftsmanship ethos, enhance specialized technical skills, and accelerate Wuxin’s high-quality development, the company continuously hosts annual welding skills competitions. This establishes a virtuous mechanism of “Compete, Learn, Surpass, Excel.” Through a three-dimensional assessment system—theory testing, practical operation, and professional conduct—the annual “Ten Welding Commanders” honor title is rigorously awarded, effectively elevating all employees’ vocational expertise. To date, we have cultivated over a dozen exemplary frontline workers—including Changsha Municipal People’s Congress deputies, Liuyang Craftsmen awardees, and industrial park skills competition champions.

2. Foreman Li: Transforming Ordinary into Extraordinary Through Perfection

Since graduating from technical school at age 18, Foreman Li has dedicated himself to welding expertise, persistently refining his craft with artisan spirit. At work, he systematically increased the “first-pass acceptance rate” of welds. By implementing a breakthrough copper-backing assisted single-sided welding double-sided forming process, he evolved from an ordinary welder to a technical backbone responsible for submerged arc welding of core crane components. His participation in provincial-level R&D projects—including 100 key industrial new products and provincial/municipal first-set major intelligent manufacturing equipment trials—has forged expansive career achievements within minute weld seams. He was elected as a Changsha Municipal People’s Congress deputy and honored as a Liuyang Craftsman.

With over a decade at Wuxin Heavy Industry, Foreman Wang witnessed and participated profoundly in the company’s port machinery evolution—from initial startup to industry leadership, transitioning from technology follower to independent innovator. As a technical core member, he continuously honed welding skills while championing mentorship traditions through systematic “pass-help-guide” transmission of expertise. He received the “Team Organization Award” three times, trained over a dozen welding elites (including 3 champions), and led his team to earn Changsha’s “Model Standardized Safety Production Team” designation—making outstanding contributions to corporate talent development and safety management.
